‘Sew your own’ Toddler Clothes Series

A hands-on creative experience for mothers and mothers-to-be

The Sew Your Own Series is a monthly workshop designed to bring creativity, practicality, and connection together. Each session focuses on a different project—thoughtfully chosen to support you through pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood.

From sewing your own hospital bag to creating simple toddler clothing, each workshop is guided step-by-step in a relaxed, supportive environment. No pressure, no perfection, just the satisfaction of making something meaningful with your own hands.

These sessions are as much about the experience as the outcome. A space to slow down, learn something new, and connect with others at a similar stage of life.

Upcoming Project: The Handmade Romper Series

A four-week sewing experience for pregnancy, new parents and families.

Learn to create a timeless handmade romper from scratch while building practical sewing skills and connecting with others through a shared creative experience.

Suitable for complete beginners, each series guides you through creating a beautiful garment available in sizes from newborn to 6+ years.

All sewing machines and equipment are provided — simply bring the fabric that speaks to you and create something completely your own.

More Than a Sewing Class

This series was created because we believe there is something special about making for the people we love.

In a world of fast fashion and busy schedules, this is an invitation to slow down. To spend time creating something meaningful with your own hands, while sharing the experience with others in a similar season of life.

Whether you're expecting your first baby, sewing for your growing family, or creating a heartfelt gift, this is a space to learn, connect, and enjoy the process.

A Note from the Founder

bethaney Woolley

"As someone who studied fashion design before founding Velvet + the Fox, sewing has always been where my creative journey began. This series brings together two things I care deeply about—craftsmanship and community. My hope is that you'll leave not only with a beautiful garment, but with the confidence to keep creating long after the course has ended."
